Right at the heart of Hollywood Boulevard and the Highland retail, dining and entertainment complex, lies the Kodak Theatre, Hollywoord’s first class live entertainment venue and theater. The Kodak Theater is famous for being the permanent home of the annual Academy Awards Ceremonies (The Oscars) that millions of people watch every year. The theater was opened in 2001, has 3,332 seats and was designed by the internationally-renowned Rockwell Group. It was designed to be a glamorous venue for live and televised performances and has been graced by famous artists like Alicia Keys, Celine Dion, Prince, Elvis Costello, Barry Manilow, Stevie Wonder, American Ballet Theatre and various touring Broadway productions, among others. The theater is also made popular by the Amercan Idol show.
